In the wake of the news that Sir Anthony Hopkins will portry Ernest Hemingway in his later years in the new movie "Papa," do you think Hopkins is up to the task?

Hey Rob,

Thanks for the poll.   I think Hopkins will be great as Hemingway.  I saw him in another movie where with a beard he even resembled Papa.  Throw in his obvious acting talent and we might be in for a treat.

I just read and heard on E news that Hopkins was replaced by Nick Nolte.  Thats too bad.  Hopkins would have been grand.

Papa:

See my last post in the Hopkins thread re: Nolte.

The one thing about Hopkins playing Hemingway is that it could give the film more attention from the critics, and more funding, than a Nolte film.

You're right about that!  Hopkins - in my opinion - is the better actor as well.  Nolte has too much weirdness following him these days.
