Hello!

I am doing a school project about Ernest Hemingway, and I got a question about Hemingway's family. I havent found anything about it yet.

My question is: how old were his brother and sisters when Ernest was born? Or was Ernest oldest among the children?

Thank you in advance.

Ernest was the second child. His older sister, Marcelline, was born on 1/15/1898. Ernest was born in 1899.

Hello Jojje,

Marcelline Hemingway was born Jan 15, 1898--- Ernest Miller was born July 21, 1899--Ursula was born April 29, 1902--Madaeline was born Nov. 28, 1904--Carol was born July 19, 1911--Leicester Clarence was born April 1, 1915--

One of the best books to read about their private lives and a little more personal than most is "At The Hemingways" by marcelline Hemingway-Sanford.  Another book, a biography that accurately covers some genealogy facts is written by Jeffrey Meyers.

Good Luck,

Docnme
