The July edition of the Smithsonian magazine has a nice article about the Fiesta of San Fermin in Pamplona. It's titled Pamplona No Bull and written by Erla Zwingle.
The article is mostly facts and figures about the activities of today's Fiesta: the influx of tourists, the partying and, of course, the running of the bulls.
Ernest is given credit for putting Pamplona and its Fiesta on the map by writing about it in The Sun also Rises. There's a nice photo of Ernest sitting on the ground next to a bull, petting him.
I think we should all go next year.
