I recommended Les Standiford's "Last Train to Paradise" in an earlier post. He also writes the "John Deal" mystery series, which I'm enjoying so far, at least the two I've read, "Bone Key" and "Havana Run". Key West figures prominently in both, and Hemingway is mentioned often. Standiford is obviously a fan, and even places one scene in the latter book at the Finca Vigia.
I've always enjoyed Florida mysteries, especially Tom Corcoran's Key West series (Alex Rutledge) and those by Randy Wayne White. (Hey, you can only read John D. MacDonald so many times. You have to give these new guys a chance!)
