This is not about Hemingway, but can someone tell me this?

My son just returned from vacation out west: He caught a glimpse of a poem and did not get a chance to get the author or more information and I would like to know if someone can tell me where to find it?

"Perserverance"

'In the confrontation between the river and the rock, the river always wins, not through strength, But by perserverance.'

That is all that he got of it, any help would be appreciated.

Hi Docnme,

I did a quick search on Google and it looks like it is attributed to a man named H. Jackson Brown who compiles small inspirational books.   I also found that is in the following book if you were looking to purchase one:

A Father's Book of Wisdom

Hope this helps.

I definitely like that quote.

Hi there,

Thanks so much.  He also loved what he read, just could not remember much more and no way to write it down at the time. I too think that it is a great quote. I knew this was the place to get the fastest answer.

Thanks again,

docnme
