The more I learn in this "Hemingway Adventure" I have undertaken, I can't help but wonder how the man would have fared in this world wide "POLITICALLY CORRECT" life we find ourselves in today.

Perhaps at 62, I yearn for a simpler time where the many facets of your life do not mash the acelerator on the sensitivity meter. If anyone had a problem with you, they could work it out "Mano Y Mano" and not worry about third party liability.

I don't know if PAPA could thrive today given the climate but I sure love reading about him and all that he was, plus that which has survived him in this world.

Gee, I saw the header and thought "PC" meant personal computer. I had visions of Papa getting disgusted with his computer locking up and firing the whole darned thing out of the tower at La Finca. If he were around in this age when people can be sued for sneezing, maybe he'd be inviting lawyers out on the Pilar. Perhaps some would not return after unfortunate accidents...

Cheers--Leo

I think  Ernest  would leave the US  for sure.
I'm out here in Japan and you can smoke in bars
and  no one's  going to sue you  for sneezing or whatever.
WHat George Carlin calls the "pussification" of AMerica.

Yeah, it some ways Japan seems like a lot freer than being back in the US.  Yando, where in Japan are you, I am in Tokyo.
