Peter: I checked out the Hemingway Society site. Thanks for the tip.
The conference is the end of June. I don't think I'll be able to make it, as it would involve coordinating many things.
The hotel you're staying at looks great, though maybe a bit pricey by Spanish standards - though I know everything went up the minute they changed to the euro.
Doesn't look like there'll be bullfighting or at least much of it scheduled in Ronda at the time of the conference, but the Pedro Romero museum and the bullring (Maestranza) are always worth the visit. Ronda itself is a gorgeous place, the place I've often thought of retiring to.
I got a kick out of seeing the Miguel Martin photograph of Hemingway flanked by Antonio and Cayetano Ordonez taken in Ronda in 1959. El Don Senor Miguel gave me a copy of that photograph from the negative, and enscribed the back of it to me as a "recuerdo" (souvenier) of my visit. He was impressed I was born the year it was taken.
